Lesley got her start in the behavioral medicine world in 1985 when she partnered with John Perry PHD to become the CEO of the "Behavioral Medicine Institute" in Philadelphia. The clinic focused on the use of biofeedback for chronic pain, pelvic issues and self-regulation. Dr Perry PHD, who later became her husband, was a co-author of the bestselling book "The G Spot". During this time, she received a government grant with her husband for their work on incontinence. She was curious about Myofascial Release and how it might help in her work at her clinic. She was so intrigued by Barnes' success with fascia, she started taking his courses. By 1990 she became an expert in Myofascial Release and has been listed, ever since, on the Barnes website as an expert in MFR.
